About Ben

I began my education in low-income, diverse public schools before transitioning by chance in 7th grade to a private school. I benefitted from great leaders, teachers and classmates at each school. These early steps led to graduating with highest honors from college, launching my career in consulting, owning a $25M P&L and delivering $100Ms in profits for Fortune 500 companies. Yes, I studied and worked hard, but those opportunities would not have been possible without the people who helped me take each step.

Fortune 500 companies, universities and private schools foster and promote the strength of their networks, benefiting every aspect of their population. Public K-12 schools have an opportunity to thoughtfully implement these same strategies and networks into their own culture. While test scores, attendance and graduation rates are vital to a child’s education, a network that can inspire and support them along the way is equally as important.

I launched Alum for Life to make network engagement a scalable resource for every school. I believe every student can and should begin to foster relationships that will span their journey.
